El 27 de marzo se realizó con mucho éxito y movimiento en redes sociales la Carrera de la Energía, una carrera de orientación de 10 kilómetros totalmente fuera de lo convencional. Más de 500 corredores, seleccionados a través de redes sociales, inundaron Barcelona y la tiñeron de los colores de los tres equipos: rosa, amarillo y morado. Cada uno de ellos, capitaneados por atletas adidas (Vanessa Veiga, Isabel Macías, Jaume Leiva, Carles Castillejo, Miguel Ángel López, Chema Martínez, Arturo Casado, Javi Guerra y Luis Alberto Hernando) partió de una salida diferente desde lugares emblemáticos de la ciudad: paseo de Colón, paseo Lluís Companys y paseo Picasso.

Una vez dado el pistoletazo de salida, cada equipo se dividió de nuevo en tres para seguir itinerarios diferentes. Todos los grupos tuvieron que recargar su energía en cuatro puntos donde les esperaban distintas sorpresas: un túnel boost con luces y sonidos, una rampa para impulsarles, la «boostukada» que les animaba música y, por último, una caja llena de bolas gigantes boost. Los corredores conocían el siguiente punto de recarga de energía cuando llegaban a estas zonas, siendo su única pista una tarjeta que les guiaba por las calles de Barcelona.

Las sorpresas no terminaron en la carrera, los corredores fueron llegando a la meta secreta donde les esperaba el evento Ultra BOOST. Los participantes pudieron hacerse fotos con [adidas.com/go/despiertatuenergiabcn]la mejor zapatilla de Running del mundo y compartirla en redes sociales o dejar su experiencia en el muro de firmas. Allí les esperaba un DJ que amenizó la noche hasta que comenzó la entrega de premios a los primeros clasificados de la mano de los atletas de la marca. adidas despidió a los participantes con un flashmob que puso a todo el público en pie y con la «boostukada» que los acompañó hasta el final.
