El Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch ha sido la sede de esta ceremonia de inauguración presentada por el periodista Joan Garcia y presidida por Maite Fandos, presidenta de la Fundació Barcelona Olímpica. Durante el acto se ha premiado a los ganadores de la cuarta edición del concurso SpotSport y se ha rendido homenaje a Carme Romeu, una de las grandes pioneras del deporte femenino en nuestro país y a David Moner, uno de los grandes dirigentes del deporte en Cataluña. Dos grandes figuras del mundo del deporte cuya lucha y trabajo han hecho que sea un honor para el BCN Sports Film Festival poder homenajearles por su trayectoria profesional y deportiva.
